Between us we have over a decade of experience and have been a part of events in countries & cities across the world including London, Johannesburg, Nairobi and New York.

madame blah can assist with any aspect of an event that might not traditionally fall under the event management or event conceptualisation categories.

This might mean you require individual but still key aspects such as headline acts, venue finding or budget planning and without necessarily a team to manage your entire event.

In addition to our in-house team, we have long-standing relationships with all our contractors and partnerships with various external suppliers so that we can provide support in any number of ways.

madame blah is a registered AQA training centre, through which we are able to teach a variety of event-related qualifications. madame blah will tailor-make and teach an accredited training package for your organisation, educational institution or similar. This means that we will create a custom made program for your participants culminating in an AQA accredited qualification.

Also, as part of our ongoing dedication to enrichment we currently require all our volunteers to obtain at least a level one accredited events qualification which we proudly offer free of charge to our own volunteers along with our volunteer training.

We also offer a small variety of non event specific qualifications with scope to expand this further as the need arises.

madame blah is managed by directors Nadu Placca and Nasiché McKenzie.

Nadu – our madame blah – is a bubbly, OCD people-person who, in addition to the day-to-day running of the company, naturally has a focus on building relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors.

In contrast, Nasiché is a conservative, book-smart introvert who concentrates on supporting the team in the office to make sure that we are delivering effectively.

Two sides of the same coin; this is the ultimate dynamic duo.

Nadu Placca is a successful Event Coordinator who, after being head hunted in her final year at university studying Event Management & Music and Media Management, has worked for a plethora of successful event companies and organisations. These include Rising Tide Trust, Continental Drifts and Thames Festival Trust, providing a significant contribution to their event formats and music industry relationships.

Possessing an outstanding track record for planning, managing and teaching events our madame has also provided solutions for branding, design, marketing and programme management.  Additionally Nadu has developed expertise toward the production of  both commercial and community events. This has culminated in developing a great rapport with many people within both the music and creative industries, from artists and comedians; to agents and management companies.

Nasiché McKenzie was first introduced to the idea of working in the event industry at the Victoria and Albert museum at the tender age of 16, and has been involved in events and marketing throughout her career since.

Following a bold move to South Africa for a six month contract, Nasiché returned to London six years later having worked her way through events for clients such as UNISA, South African Airways and The Coca-Cola Company. Nasiché’s arsenal comprises a multitude of skills in addition to event management, including copywriting, brand development and integrated marketing campaign management.

Having used South Africa as her base to work on the event industry front-line in several different countries, Nasiché has now opted for a comfortable chair at mission control inside the heart of madame blah HQ.

Eunice Obianagha

Armed with a clipboard and quick wits, Eunice has a passion for transforming ideas to reality and is a creative project and event consultant with over 6 years of experience in the commercial and not for profit event industry.

Kye Rowe

No large scale event would be complete without Kye, madame blah’s invaluable
 side-kick. Kye is our logistical expert as well as one of our top up-and-coming AQA accredited course teachers.

Fiona Hall

Specialising in international events, not only does Fiona have the energy of a Duracell-bunny and the experiential prowess required to run events at any level, she is also our tenacious miss blah manager.

Behind the scenes is a support team of industry misfits with such a variety of skills that they would not be able to work together anywhere else!

We at madame blah believe that expertise comes from experience, and experience comes from living life; so we look for more than just the traditional qualifications from our team.

Explore the options we have available for either work placements or volunteering on our events.

 

 

 

 

 

madame blah are always on the look out for volunteers to work on our events. You could be called on to do all sorts of things from defending 5000 chocolate bars from hungry production staff in our hospitality team to looking after our celebrity guests on our client liaison team. All events involve some form of training and we will always be happy to provide a reference after you have successfully worked on an event for us including completing the relevant training.
